Books everywhere!

There is no denying that I love to read! I always have a book or two that I am reading. In the summer I've been known to read 5+ books in a week. For as far back as I can remember I have loved reading. I remember as a little girl getting lost in a book. I loved imagining the people and places that the author described so eloquently. One of my favorites was The Secret Garden. I would read the words and find myself passing through the gate into the garden. I am much the same today. If I find out that a movie is coming out that is based on a book I will go and read the book first because I know that the book is almost always better than the movie. Just like baking is in my genes, I think that reading is in my genes too! My parents love to read...especially my dad and stepmom. Below is a picture of a bookcase at their house. You look at it and think "Wow, that is a lot of paperbacks!" Well there are 7 more bookcases just like that throughout their house as well as a half bookcase for cookbooks. Crazy! It sure did make it easy to pack for my trip out here because I knew that I didn't have to pack any books with me!
